Why Choose Us?
Inspiration Outdoors is a Perth based business established in 1998 by Pam Riordan. In early 2011 Simon Mendelawitz and Emily Pinkus happily took the reins. Our aim is to provide our customers with active experiences of nature that engage all five senses. On your holiday with Inspiration Outdoors you can expect to:
Be Safe
Safety comes before all else. We conduct risk assessments on every section of every walk so we always know where the closest vehicle access points are. We have Senior First Aid training, carry first aid kits, satellite phones when in remote areas as well as radios and mobile phones. Walking is a very safe activity, but nevertheless we take safety seriously.
Be Guaranteed
We know your holidays are precious and important to you. The last thing you want to do is book a tour that doesn't go ahead. If we say we are going to run a tour, the tour will go ahead. We do not have minimum numbers for any of our extended tours so you can book your holidays with confidence.
Use your body
We offer a range of activities for different levels of fitness. Be it a gentle stretch out on a moonlight paddle or a full 'end to end' on the Cape to Cape, we believe that you've got to use it or you'll lose it.
Stimulate your mind
Our guides are not just there just to show you the way. We tell stories about the natural, Aboriginal and European history of the areas that we pass through to encourage you to explore nature with curiosity.
Rest and reflect
Your holiday shouldn't be all go, go, go. We design our tours with ample opportunities to rest so that you come home feeling great.
Socialise with like minded people
Whether it is with your oldest friend or someone you have just met, we believe the most memorable experiences are those which are shared. Small group sizes (max 10) allow you to get to know your fellow participants and make real connections.
Trips can be created and tailored to groups of four or more. With the assistance of a team of knowledgeable friends, Inspiration Outdoors aims to provide…“Recreation Beyond Expectation”

Meet the Founder
Pamela Riordan threw in a career in micro-biology to start Inspiration Outdoors back in 1998. Over the following decade she managed to build a community of hikers and paddlers who came back time and time again for her attention to detail and passion for nature. Pam would have to be a contender for 'Most Kilometres Walked on the Western Australian Trails', but these days a dodgy achilles keeps her mainly in the kayak, as Inspiration Outdoor's paddle guide.
But (semi) retirement hasn't slowed Pam down at all. She has recently come back from an epic trip rafting on the Colorado River and her next adventure involves a desert hike - complete with camels!
