Canoeing Trips
Our paddling tours are guided by Pam Riordan who has competed in the Avon descent a number of times (and did very well!).
We've got a bunch of paddles arranged this semester with the Glyde In. They are open to anyone, to book just call the Glyde In on 9339 5684.
Learn to kayak (FULL)
Come along and learn the basic strokes required to paddle a kayak efficiently. We’ll have a variety of kayaks for you to try and you’ll learn how to turn, how to go in a straight line and even how to capsize if you wish. We’ll be in Bayswater.
Friday 17 February, 9 - 11.30am OR 12.30-3pm.
$50.
Serpentine paddle
We start on the Serpentine River, paddle across Groegrup Lake and on into Black Lake. There’s usually birds a’plenty on this 14 km return trip. Two-person canoes provided.
Wednesday 14 March, 9am - 4pm.
$69.
Tranby on Swan Paddle
We’ll paddle to the beautiful Tranby on Swan where we’ll take a look through this historic homestead. Then we’ll return via Ascot Waters, always a lovely paddle. It’s a to and fro journey from Bayswater, 9kms (no car shuffle), with 2-person Canadian canoes provided.
Tuesday 10 April, 9.30am - 2.30pm.
$63 (+ $5 entry, pay Pam on the day).
To book any of the above contact the Glyde In on (08) 9339 3964
