Join us throughout the year on our guided Perth day walks. Walks range from about 12 to 15 km and is generally a full day. They are a great opportunity to get out and discover some of the wonderful walks available so close to home. The safe and social nature of these group walks makes them highly enjoyable. And of course there’s always morning tea!
Sullivan’s Rock to Monadnocks, Bibbulmun Track

Difficulty: 12 km return. Moderate terrain, challenging length. Time: 9:30am – 4:30pm (approx) Cost: $35. Includes – morning tea, guiding. BYO lunch. Meet at: Sullivan’s Rock recreation area (we will provide more details on booking)
Description: This has to be one of the best day walks on the Bibbulmun Track. We will start at Sullivan’s Rock and head up Mt Vincent and Mt Cuthbert for some sensational views. The trail then flattens out and we will arrive at the Monadnocks campsite in time for lunch.
After lunch we will take a fire break trail back to the carpark (avoiding scaling the mountains a second time) for a more relaxed afternoon. This walk has a good amount of challenge but is not beyond most beginners. Give us a call if you have any concerns.
Difficulty: 15km loop. Moderate terrain, challenging length. Time: 9:30am – 4:30pm (approx) Cost: $35. Includes – morning tea, guiding. Does not include: lunch (bring a packed lunch with you). Meet at: John Forrest National Park or ask us about a lift.
Description: This is a fabulous track that takes you to the heights of John Forrest National Park, along Jane Brook and past granite outcrops, with views over the Swan Coastal Plain below. The Eagle View Trail is a moderate 15 km circuit walk with some steep hills and rocky sections. It will take about 6 hours, including rest breaks. Fine for fit and healthy beginners (but give us a call if you are concerned).
Difficulty: 12km loop. Moderate terrain with some short challenging climbs. Time: 9:30am – 4:30pm (approx) Cost: $35. Includes – morning tea, guiding. Does not include: lunch (bring a packed lunch with you). Meet at: Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary.
Description: This walk has some fantastic views. Rolling valleys and natural bushland. We can’t guarantee we will see wildlife, but this is the best chance this close to Perth. This walk has some decent hills, but it is definitely worth the effort.
Difficulty: 10km loop. Moderate terrain, moderate length. Time: 9:30am – 2:30pm (approx) Cost: $35. Includes – morning tea, guiding. Does not include: lunch (bring a packed lunch with you). Meet at: Yanchep National Park or ask us about a lift.
Description: A walk through the Tuart forests of the Swan Coastal plain. This is a fairly easy walk starting off by the lake, and then continuing away from the throngs of tourist, out into the bush. This area is rich in indigenous history, so our guide will do their best to spot some bush tucker for you.
This is a great walk for those new to bushwalking.
A social day out in the bush with others from Perth and elsewhere. Discover walk trails of the parks and reserves of the greater Perth region. Learn about some of the plants, animals or history of the area. Enjoy the revitalising sounds and smells of nature so close to home.

As these are day walks, there is no accommodation component.
What to bring
Please bring with you: 1 to 2 litres of water (and put some in your car for your drive home), sturdy and comfortable walking shoes/boots, comfortable clothes for walking in (long pants and long sleeves are ideal to protect your skin from the sun), hat, sunscreen, sunglasses. On most day walks you will also bring a packed lunch.
We will provide morning tea. Bring a packed lunch with you.
Transport is not included for day walks around Perth, however we may be able to pick you up from the Fremantle or the Perth CBD for a small fee.
We will provide details for where to meet and how to get there for each walk. If you don’t have your own car, we may be able to help you find someone to car pool with – please contact us to ask.

We give you information about what you will need to bring and how you should prepare for each tour and we’re always here to answer any questions or concerns.

After you have paid a deposit and filled in a registration form, we will send you any extra information you may need, including a list of what to bring and how best to prepare for the tour.
Payment in full is required at least six weeks prior to the tour (bookings can still be made within six weeks of tour start date if there are places available). We will email or call you to remind you when this is due.
Finally, we will contact you prior to your tour to confirm pick-up times and locations. If you have any questions or concerns at all before or after you have booked, please don’t hesitate to get in touch so we can go through them with you.

Can I cancel my booking?
We hope that you do not need to cancel your booking. However, if you do, our cancellation fee, based on the notice given prior to the departure date, is:
More than 12 weeks: $50 administration fee
6 to 12 weeks: loss of deposit
4 to 6 weeks: 25% of full tour cost
2 to 4 weeks: 50% of full tour cost
less than 2 weeks: 100% of full tour cost, no refund
If you have any concerns about cancelling, please take out travel insurance covering this contingency. This policy will be adhered to despite the most compelling and compassionate circumstances.
